I loved this book and this it maybe slightly better than the first book. Loved the Mad Winter King of the Fall-en Court. He is absolutely giving off Mad Hatter vibes and I enjoyed the Asian influences to the Winter court. Just so happy to get another great book in this series and I hope Julie’s story is next. I also appreciate the fact that Milana Jacks cleans up the timeline of this world a bit by setting this story in the time between the last chapter and Epilogue of the first book. A lot of the other books (Lycans, Savages) are taking place at the same time so it was hard to know the “when” of things and why crossover characters were seemly ignorant of events. Knowing that the Summer King and June have been engaged for 3 cycles (years) makes this timeline now make sense for all the other books too and helps this one stand on it’s own.
Brief Summary of the Book
Great storyline, with all the hilarious Milana Jacks humor that I love. A pink room with blue unicorns and a sexy pic of my unseelie king on the ceiling, yeah you read that right…just picture that for a hot second, a got lucky scream, only to find out that the house that is normally empty had people there and heard what you screamed, blushing, and magical house staff that happen to be objects, I mean this is quite the fairytale, throw in the lickable unseelie king, and I am one smittenly happy girl. Got to see our favorites from book one, including my personal favorite El’jah (pretty sure he’s everyone’s favorite), and gained some new ones. Fae-ted mate hea. Total book crack series.
