What a fabulous read this was!! Miranda Bridges has done it again! To Marry A Fae is full of twists, lies, and secret magic with just the right amount of steam! I loved the world she built for the readers. It completely sucked me in from the very first chapter. Bridges has a way of making you feel everything the characters are feeling. I love that she writes female characters the are so full of sass and unapologetic for their snarky mouths! I enjoyed taking the ride on Sabine’s journey to find herself, her magic and to discover this unrequited love for the first time.
Brief Summary of the Book
All seriousness aside, this book was hilarious. Sabine and Darian have some amazing chemistry and the supporting cast of characters are fantastic all on their own. There was a nice amount of mystery and suspense given the unknowns surrounding Sabine’s parentage and the prince’s quick attachment to her. The hot and cold on the love interest’s part was at times frustrating, but also not surprising when the world building is expounded upon. There were some really nice fresh takes on fae and magic building that I wish was delved more into, and some of the plot was predictable. There were however, still some nicely wrapped up surprises that I never saw coming. Though again, I do wish that the situations and history surrounding the events were explained in more detail. The bachelor spin was in both parts irritating and intriguing as naturally it put a sort of tension into the story that was delicious and heartbreaking. My only one true critique is that I wish that Darian’s character had been given more time. Now, don’t conflate that as a negative as it truly was easy to fall in love with him. His character is witty, grumpy, alpha, flirty and sexy – all traits I personally adore.
