Henley is a professional female hockey star who has just been part of a scandle and kicked of her team. She’s also trying to rase her non-binary sibling Reese. If Lux Brumalis sounds familiar to you, it should. It is the school that The Council series takes place at. We do get to see little crossovers of Sawyer and her men in this book. Which I absolutely adore and love. I feele each character in this book is well developed and many will pull at your heart strings. This book will draw you in from the start and leave you not only wanting more, but NEEDING it. Henley’s relationship with each guy is unique and she gets different things from each of them. This will not be your typical hockey romance.
Brief Summary of Penalty Box
This is not your typical hockey/sports story. There is so much heart and mystery with this one. The first part of the book is really heavy on getting to know the main characters and then you get into more of the mystery. Love Henley and her men. I liked how the relationships developed so differently with each guy. Ms Butler is so good at that!! Also really enjoyed the cameos by Sawyer and her crew. Henley is an accomplished and famous hockey player who’s been beaten down by the hockey world. After an embarrassing situation with her now ex boyfriend, Henley and her sibling look for a new start at Lux Brumalis Academy where Henley becomes the head coach of the varsity hockey team. There, she reconnects with her former roommates’ brother, meets a hockey legend who may be obsessed with her, and is reunited with a hot one night stand. And finds out all three men live together and work at the school. With a team to build, a sibling to raise, and a strange threat lurking in the background, Henley will have to use all her strength to find her happiness.
