Foster and Talia dated when she was in college, and as she was getting ready to move away for med school, he suddenly broke up with her only to turn around and marry her best friend Vivienne. Talia was heartbroken, never got answers, and she moved away, cutting off all communication with him. Flash forward 7 years, and Foster has moved to Quincy with his 7 year old daughter Kadence, and with full intensions of winning Talia back. This whole situation and reason for the break-up and then the marriage between Foster and Vivienne felt… far-fetched. The absolute lack of communication and total cut-off between all 3 of them was disappointing and just felt so unfair to Talia
Brief Summary of Garnet Flats
The way Foster goes about things was annoying. He barged back into Talia’s life, showing up at the hospital while she worked, at her home uninvited, and around town he made sure to bump into her. The man missed the lesson on boundaries. You’d think that he would consider Talia’s feelings in that… they havent spoken for SEVEN years and he just thought it would be easy to waltz back into her life, apologize and move on like nothing happened? It was positively infuriating at times. But the chemistry between Talia and Foster is undeniable. They clearly love never stopped loving one another, and they eventually figure it out. I still think Talia should have made him work harder for forgiveness, but if a smokin hot UFC fighter came back into my life, I’d probably have a hard time saying no too. The spice for this book is THERE and made for some great moments between these characters.
