Nora is the daughter of serial killer Aaron, afraid to live a full life because of the fear of being just like him. She runs into an old boyfriend, Brady right around the same time she’s being accused of killing women the same way her father had. Nora definitely has issues and throughout the book you wonder why she doesn’t tell her lawyer certain events that have happened or why she doesn’t let the detective or her partner Philip know. Some times it gets quite annoying that she refuses to open up to anyone or be sensible and tell at least her lawyer. But the plot twisted in multiple directions enough that it kept my interest. The story bounces from the past 11 year old Nora to present day Nora and sometimes you wonder why but it definitely had a reason. It also was a little confusing on if the old woman was really having fits of dementia or not when she said she heard screams from Brady’s apartment. I still would’ve liked a solid answer that Brady was definitely innocent of that. One part that definitely didn’t add up was Harper’s epilogue where she said Nora was responsible for Mr. Kellogg’s death as Nora acted completely unaware of the situation and was shocked by it. But who the killer was definitely was the biggest plot twist… I literally thought it was either Brady or Philip, was going to give up on the book because I was definitely sure it was one of them and thought this was too easy to predict. I was completely thrown off by who the real killer was, and I felt really bad for Philip. Crazy definitely runs deep in that family.
