After finishing this book, I’m still invested in the overall storyline and eagerly anticipate the next book to see the outcome of the war. The conflicts between the different factions and their united front against a common enemy have captured my attention. However, I am completely disappointed with the introduction of Ian as a second love interest for Camille. It felt out of place considering Xander’s alpha personality and diminished their love story. Ian’s attraction to Camille seemed more driven by lust and friendship than a genuine love connection. Although I do not like the direction of the love story, Kenya’s writing has me looking forward to the next book.
Brief Summary of the Book
The second book was good!!! I loved the idea of a throuple AT FIRST. But with the way this is all going, I’m not so sure anymore. I feel it is unfair to Ian. Even though he’s all in. He’d have to sacrifice a lot by dealing with the other king jealousy and possessiveness. I am so team Ian. He’s the underdog of it all. I want him happy. He’s shouldn’t have to get the scrapes of anything even though that’s what he’s always had to be content with. It’s going to be interesting to see how everything shifts. Xander says he’s okay with it but idk. And I feel like Camille is okay with it but is still hesitant because of Xander. Like Xander said there’s somethings he won’t budge on. That’s where it gets a bit sad for me. Because what if Ian wanted kids too? And I’m pretty sure I’ve figured out Camille’s favorite word….You may also like The Demon by Stella Andrews
