It was a rush of action from the very first chapter. The cast of characters are the usual suspects, vampires, werewolves, fae, humans, etc. Except the roles they play are different on so many levels. Our MC is a strong and resilient woman. Human, she is seen as weak, yet she is determined and smarter than she appears. But underneath her human body something lurks inside. We do not learn in this book what is hiding, but we get hints that it is there, resting only showing a bit of itself . Even though the MC is in a horrific situation, she is drawn to a Vampire. Like there is a magnetic pull. He tries to deny the reactions he has to her, but I believe he will not hold out much longer. This book was a mix of emotions. There is fear, lust, danger, hurt and love. The roller coaster ride takes off and doesn’t stop. Not even in the end. This book explodes at the end with a cliffhanger of epic proportions. I have to know what happens next. Overall this book was well written and the plot is laid out perfectly. The author takes her time creating a unusual story with an amazing and intriguing cast of characters. Her story isn’t rushed, yet you can’t put it down for wanting so desperately to know how it all ends. This story writing is the perfection that draws readers in and holding their attention.
